Thank You Pam, Ross and Michelle
I am always so grateful when I go to see my Mom. I know she is well taken care of. I hope you don't mind when I tell you things I see, it is absolutely not a complaint on my part, I just want to help. It's springtime, enjoy your life a little, do something special or out of the ordinary. Smell the flowers. Thanks.
Your friend,
Ilene |

To Whom it may concern,
I was referred to "Leisure Living" by my girlfriend Ilene Koplan. She lives next door to them on Deep Shadow. Over year ago she told me about them buying the house and turning it into a "Board and Care" home for Seniors. She was so impressed with their clean and professional manor. When I needed to find a place for my mother, I thought of them left away. I didn't even bother to look anywhere else. I was impressed with the cleanliness, warm and friendly caretakers. My mother is happy and well taken care of. She loves the food. She is always neat and clean and very happy.
Thank You,

Dear Ross & Pam,
On behalf on me and my whole family, I would like to thank you and your staff for the wonderful care you gave my Dad, Jack Singer. You were always there to help us whenever you could with both Jack & Vivian. Aging and loss of health are very difficult times for families to go through. You made it easier for us to go through that period. We also want to comment Evelyn and Fred, for there loving care. My Dad was especially was fond of Fred, who always treated him with the dignity he deserved.
My Dad wanted us to travel and was very clear to us to not stop our trip, no matter what happened to him. He was ready to leave this earth. He knew his blood sugar was out of control and that his memory and mind were starting to fail. He told me that he was ready, and to not be sad for him, but happy that he had a wonderful, long and full life.
We will never forget you and will be active and quick to recommend your services to all that come our way. Please fell free to give our phone number to anyone who would like a referral.
Warm Regards,
Sheila Fuerst |

Dear Pam & Ross,
Next month, Mom will have been with Leisure Living for two years. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for your dedication to providing a caring and safe environment for her at the home on Calmfield Drive. Our frequent visits always confirm our good judgement in placing Mom in your care.
Every member of the staff has been very kind to Mom and the other residents. We have been impressed with how well they perceive her wants and needs from her body language, since she no longer can speak, and that they quickly respond. Mom's obvious pleasure at any interactions with the caregivers is comforting because it indicates to us she feels safe and is being well treated. Frin everything we've seen, all of the residents are getting very close and considerate attention.
You and your team of caregivers have relieved an enormous amount of stress and concern. We will always be grateful, and we are certain Mom would say the same if she could.
Sincerely,
Joanne Wleft |

MRS. ILENE KAPLAN
29328 Deep Shadow Dr.
Agoura Hills, CA 91301
July 25, 2000
Gentlemen:
My name is Ilene Kaplan and I reside at 29328 Deep Shadow Drive, next door to Ross Hashemi's Board and Care Home. I am writing this letter because I am totally in favor of Mr. Hashemi operating a board and care home next door to me. He is providing a much-needed service to our senior population and I am genuinely impressed with the care and concern he and his staff provide.
I have lived at this address for 24 years and have gone through many neighbors. I didn't realize that Mr. Hashemi ran a board and care home until about four and five months after they were up and running. My friend was at my house one day and said she heard there was a board and care somewhere on Deep Shadow and upon further checking, we found out it was left next door to me.
Mr. Hashemi came to my house one day and introduced himself and told me about his board and care facility. He asked if I had any concerns or questions. He cares very much about what his neighbors think and has been to every house on the block to address any concerns.
Mr. Hashemi is one of the finest people I have ever met. He is extremely kind and sincere. He always tells me to go next door if there is ever anything that I need help with (take out the trash, take in my mail, papers, etc). He knows that I am a widow and sometimes could use some help.
He always tells me to bring my mother over to visit and to leave her for the day (at no charge) so she can visit and I can have a day out by myself. I couldn't have picked a better neighbor if I tried.
There is never any noise next door and the house is extremely well take care of (both inside and out). I have been inside as my friend's mother is a resident there. I have witnessed, first hand, the care and nurturing these seniors get in this home. My friend's mother was brought in in a wheelchair, with bed sores and very depressed. Her bed sores have healed, she is up walking, she eats much better, and she has become alive again. This is all due to the wonderful care and nurturing of Mr. Hashemis's staff.
There are never any parking problems with visitors stopping by. Mr. Hashemi had the driveway redone to allow for three cars. He is very accommodating that way.
Years ago seniors were sent to nursing homes to die when they were no longer able to take care of themselves, before assisted living facilities. Mr. Hashemi has filled this void by offering a wonderful much-needed service to the senior community. He gives them the care, nurturing, quality of life and dignity they deserve during what is an extremely difficult time in one's life.
I cannot understand why on earth a complaint was filed against Mr. Hashemi. An ambulance can come to any home, regardless of the ages of the residents. If there has been an ambulance called to this home, I was totally unaware of it as they were staring out their front window or if they were outside.
I hope that you rule in favor of Mr. Hashemi and permit him to carry on doing the extraordinary work he does. If we had more kind, sincere, loving and caring individuals like Mr. Hashemi in the world today, it would be a much better place.
Thank You,
Ilene Kaplan (818) 889-5654 |
